ERAY BAYKAL:
Engineering Endeavours

About Me
My name is Eray Baykal, and I am a U.S. citizen originally from Turkey. For as long as I've known myself I have had an interest in how things work and how things can work better. As time went on, my innocent attempts of trying to build electric cars out of toilet rolls and projectiles out of mechanical pencil parts progressed. When I got to high school, I found myself trying to build the same electric cars, this time by fishing for electric motors at scrap yards, and building wind turbines from old car parts. Since I started my mechanical engineering degree at Columbia University this interest has only flourished... My projects on whatever silly idea comes to my mind still proceed, but this time with resources I could only have dreamt of before... The pursuit of engineering continues, from toilet roll cars to now fusion reactors...
